Richard A. Paolo
Richard (Rick) A. Paolo, Esq., was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and has more than 38 years’ experience in real estate law, real estate financing, zoning and land use, and general corporate law.
He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati (B.A., 1979 cum laude with honors) and the University of Cincinnati College of Law (J.D., 1982). Prior to joining AR&H, Rick was a licensed title agent with several major title insurance underwriters and organized and was responsible for the operation of two title agencies with his former law firms.
Rick served as the firm’s managing partner from 2004 to 2021. He practices in the areas of real estate law, real estate financing, and leasing administrative law including zoning and planning.
His clients include local, regional and national companies and individuals in the acquisition, financing, development, re-zoning and sale of real estate. Since 2016, Rick has been recognized by U.S. News and World Report as a “Best Lawyer in America” for his practice in real estate as well as land use and zoning. He has been named “Lawyer of the Year” for 2022 and 2024 for his work in land use and zoning law litigation. Rick has an AV-rating by Martindale-Hubbell. He is the author of a treatise on Ohio mechanics’ lien law, Couse’s Ohio Form Book, 6th Ed.
Rick is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio and is a member of the Cincinnati and Ohio State Bar Associations. He has served as Chair of the Board of Trustees for St. Ursula Academy and on the Board of Trustees of the Ursulines of Cincinnati Charitable Trust.
